Welcome from the Management Team
Suzanne O'Neill first opened Desart Lodge Nursery in October 2000. Desart Lodge Nursery was Armagh's first private childcare facility in the area.
Suzanne began her childcare journey when she trained for her Level 3 Childcare, then soon began assessing Level 3 Childcare as she obtained her Assessors Award. Several years later she opened Desart Lodge Nursery, providing high quality care for young children with her wealth of experience firstly as a mother, childcare student and assessor.
In 2005 Suzanne graduated from Stramillis University with a BA Early Years.
Thank you so much for all you have done for Charlie and Lily, hard to believe they were only babies when they started in Desart Lodge. It's all they have known and they have loved every minute of it. They're going to miss you all so much! I hope the nursery continues to thrive in the future. I certainly would have no hesitation in recommending Desart Lodge to anyone!
Alfie has really enjoyed his time at Desart Lodge Nursery-as parents it has been lovely to see his development over the past two years whilst there. A special thanks to all the staff for the great care and attention that he has received - he will miss you all!
We feel lucky to have found such a wonderful nursery, our children are extremely well looked after here and are always happy to go. They are flourishing under the care of Desart Lodge. The staff are all so caring and nurturing towards the children and really want to help anyway they can. The facilities are brilliant and there are lots of varied activities. Desart Lodge Nursery is fantastic! I cannot recommend it highly enough!
Desart Lodge is a lovely nursery where I know my daughter is in safe hands. All staff are lovely and keep parents well informed. My daughter enjoys attending every day. I would recommend Desart Lodge to any parent wanting their child to be cared for in a loving safe environment.
Since our two older grandchildren began attending Desart Lodge Nursery over two years ago, we have daily contact when leaving and collecting. As two retired teachers we have always been hugely impressed with the quality and depth of the early years and preschool provision at Desart Lodge. The positive, caring and enthusiastic atmosphere is evident at all times from staff who are clearly highly motivated and committed to the care and well-being of each child. We have observed how the activities, experiences, displays and constantly changing themes have contributed significantly to the children's development and we have no doubt these have greatly enhanced their early learning experiences which will be of huge benefit as they progress to primary education. Perhaps the best testimony of all is the genuine enthusiasm our grandchildren have always shown to attend Desart Lodge on a daily basis. We would therefore have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending Desart Lodge Nursery to anyone who wishes to avail of what we would consider to be an excellent and exemplary nursery learning environment.
My son has attended Desart Lodge Nursery since he was 12 months old on a part time basis. The staff welcome and know all the children, creating a warm and happy atmosphere. There are a wide range of activities that the children can participate in, inside and out. Since sending my child here, he has gained so much confidence and independence, for which I am truly very grateful. Desart Lodge is a superb starting place for your child.
Desart Lodge Nursery is a fantastic setting for my toddler. He is happy and content; I can tell that he likes being there. The staff are great, friendly, jolly and brilliant with the kids. My son’s development has changed dramatically since he has been there; he loves the daily activities, storytelling and outside play that are available at the setting. There is good variation of nutritious healthy food available for the children. I wouldn’t have my son anywhere else.
